how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)

I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

It has been a couple hours. My longest time was 6 months I think which fell apart back in December

@Bonnieheart

Wow! That 6 month streak was super impressive. You've done it before, and you can do it again. Relapsing doesn't mean that you're failing. Try to treat each day like a new day, and if you get through a day or even a few hours of the day, that's great. When more and more days go well, that's when you get longer streaks, but the length of your streak doesn't define how well you are doing. I know you can win your battle against self harm, and I hope you have confidence in yourself too.

5 months prior to 2 days ago. ;3; It was only because I got caught doing it by my dad due to getting in a fight with him cos I couldn't understand his conversation. Just the smallest things I do wrong drive me to self-harm or suicide thoughts.

@mrgman5

Being clean for almost a month is wonderful, and I'm glad you did not give into the urge to hurt yourself yesterday~ You did it once you can do it again, and remind yourself each time you feel the urge that acting on it is not inevitable~ Here whenever you need support~ Stay strong and take care of yourself<3

I'm a mom of a teenage girl who proudly announced yesterday she was 365 days self-harm free. It's been a long road, but very was so happy to see her so proud of this accomplishment. As a parent, I want to encourage other parents, especially moms, to not give up...be a listener to your child, give them the professional support they need, but don't push them to someone that they don't feel comfortable talking to. We went to 4 different therapists before she found just the right one that she really clicked with. In our situation, I constantly talked WITH to my daughter on a daily basis, cried with her, listened to her, to the point where she realized that "mom" never judged her. We are now so close, and share almost everything - I do have to sometimes turn off the mom part of me and just be that sounding board for her to vent, cry, complain and want to come talk to.

Aww this is amazing! Thank you for sharing this~ You should not only be happy for your daughter but also proud of yourself for being there for her when she needed you and supporting her through her hard times~ I'm so glad to hear you've formed this close bond with your daughter, it's really precious <3 I hope everything continues to go well for both you and your daughter~ Take care!
