how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)
I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.
It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be
you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.
and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.
I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.
if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.
Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?
It's been 12 years since I've self harmed. I was doing fine until 2 years ago, when my once fought demons came back. It takes focus and my love for others in my life to give me the strength to fight those demons everyday. One day at a time, one moment at a time, one breath at a time. Some days are harder than others I may not have control of my emotions or the thoughts but I will control my actions and fight to do so as long as I have to.
@Maxlexie2 Don't feed the bears. You can do this!
It was at two years around this time last year. Then I relapsed pretty bad. So it has been about a year now. The scars are such an unfriendly reminder.
@thesurvivor334 Well done on getting to 2 years but a bigger well done to making it to a year this time, that's awesome and im so proud of you. Let the scars show you how far you have come. The scars show battles fought and you her with us, show battles won!! Keep strong
it's been 255 days since i last hurt myself but recently i feel a huge need to start again. i'm not going to give up easily though
@yellowme
255 days is an absolutely massive effort. I'm so proud of you for doing so well not only for the previous 255 days but your "not going to give up" attitude. You're just brilliant!
I last self harmed 2 days ago unfortunately, but my longest ever was a whole year. I hope I can get back on track.
@lbrady
A whole year is just 365 individual days. Each day is just the same as each other. You're back on track already. Keep it going :)
Uh 12 hours I think maybe less. Well I was once 5 months but I sadly lost it due to temptation and I have fallen in the hole again. When I stop I let my addiction grow and grow. Yet when I do self harm I also let my addiction grow there is only one option it seems.
Sorry for this late reply, @Bonnieheart.. it's oh so hard, I hear you.. I believe in you, Bonnieheart.. don't give up!
It has been 6 months for me 😊
@Lynkshadow awesome work!! That is wonderful and i'm so proud of you as you should be too!! Keep going strong and keep fighting = )
It's been around 7-8 month now but I've had an extreme urge to start up again...I'm trying to keep those thoughts away though.
@LokiChan Well done with getting this far, that is so wonderful! It can be hard when it hits you after so long.. you are not alone, we are right beside you! You might like to have a look through these list's of distractions for the times when it looks bleak! Take care.. you are going so well x
I've been free for 7 months, but lately things got bad again, and I can't stop thinking about doing it :(
Keep strong @Zarabi and seek support whenever you need it. We're here for you if you need us!
I've been free from self harm going on 3 months. That includes quitting my addiction to cigarettes and drinking. Granted, I still think about digging into my skin or going out for a smoke, but I use my progress as a motivation to continue moving on.
@Columbidae that's amazing that you're stopping those horrible addictions! That takes a lot of courage and will-power, so you must be really strong!
Sometimes it might get hard and the urges will make you want to do those things again, but the important thing is, is that you realize what you're doing and that you don't stop fighting. Relapse is bad, but it's a part of recovery so don't be upset or anything if it happens, because no one can be strong all the time.
But I'm glad you're stopping :) you're awesome!
