I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

@OLiveAlive Thank you :) I don't really know if I have a specific coping mechanism to be honest. I just try to stay positive when possible

@xxharleyxx

Staying positive is a great one! Sometimes, people find it helpful to sub in healthier coping mechanisms in place of self harm when they are feeling triggered, instead of completing the urge to self harm. Some people use soothing distraction techniques, such as doing a pleasant activity like taking a shower, watching TV, listening to music, doing art or talking to a friend about how they're feeling.
Other people find it more helpful to do something that gives a sensation that replaces whatever they get out of self harming. For example, if someone self harms to see blood/cuts, drawing lines with a red marker on the part of the body that they would harm can be helpful. Other people who want a strong sensation sometimes rub ice on the place they would self harm, and people looking for an adrenaline rush will work out in place of self harm. Still other people find it useful to do deep breathing exercises to ward off the urges, especially if they are urged to self harm from anxiety or anger.

@OLiveAlive I started doing this thing where instead of cutting, I draw cat faces on my arm every time I get an urge. It's kind of helping but I don't know how long this will last...
