Trying to stay clean

I haven't significantly self harmed in years but that creeping feeling is getting bigger everyday there are so many negative thoughts that come with the thought of self harming (how it will hurt others etc.)

But the thought still comforts me and its hanging over my head.

What do you do when it feels like this?

congrats on reaching out for support during a difficult time.  I understand that those negative thoughts about self harm can be really intrusive and difficult to manage.

what helps me the most when I’m having similar thoughts is distraction.  I enjoy doing diamond paintings and that is probably my best distraction.  I also enjoy reading good books.

what type of things have you found to be helpful in the past?
