A method worth trying (temporary and permanent)
I'm sure many of you have heard of the Butterfly Method. When I learned of it, I didn't see why it would work, but that was because I was never told the full method.
The butterfly method is used by not giving you anywhere to physically hurt yourself.
Everyplace you have or want to cut, draw a butterfly on it. Now think of someone you care so much. For each butterfly, think of another person. If you have only 1 person that you can think of, just have all the butterflies for that person. Write the initials or name of that person below the butterfly. Now let me explain: imagine everytime you hurt around or on the butterfly, all the butterflies die.
The rules are: The butterflies must fade naturally!
If this is working, you can draw them as many times as you want back on! If you want something permanent, or even as a reminder that you went through a hard time, but you conquered it, a tattoo butterfly would be cool!
I'm trying this out for myself right now, started on August 21st, 2023.

I do enjoy this method, and what's helpful for me is really spending time drawing out the butterflies, and doing LOTS of them. This definitely depends on the person (and area of impact) but it's so special when someone you care about draws a butterfly on you themselves. Best of luck in recovery 🦋
