Imagine your life to be, one day. What will you do that day?
@Weed Hi. That's such a good question. Dying and death is as much a part of life as actually living, I think. It's seen by many as a subject not for discussion, that it's morbid, but I don't find it so. We're all of us, made of light and dark, we are stardust and it's only by looking into death, looking it in the eyes, that we can live fully and appreciate now. Not living in the past, not living in the future, but living now. Right now, because in this moment, we're here, we can transform, we can create, we can love so hard we become invincible. My daughter almost died, she had cancer when she was 3. I've had the privilege to be with both my parents as they died. Hard as grief is, I can truly say it taught me more about love and what matters in life, than anything else. It gave me strength I never knew I had, and it's made me strip away my life and taught me I don't need things or huge success or money to be fulfilled. Everything I need is in me and in loving and being loved. I want to be a writer, find true love, build a good, happy future for my children. Loss has given me the courage to dream.
@CuriousBookworm5, an amazing answer, your words are very meaningful, and I totally agree with you, I am very happy for you and your daughter. She is a brave little one,
Although most of us know that love is more important than money, we can never manage time for love, but clearly what you have said has enlightened us, your writing style is also admirable, I think you will be a great writer.
@Weed I'm deeply touched by your kind words, thank you so much. People always think they have time. They don't. That doesn't have to be bleak or frightening. It's merely a tap on the shoulder, a reminder. Everything moves so fast, emphasis is put on achieving then moving on, achieving the next thing, and our concept of time changes because of it I think. When you see small children playing, the way they see and feel time is so different. We lose that somewhere as we grow up. Loss can give back what matters, despite being something no one ever wants to face. All that matters in life, is to love. And love lasts for all time, even after the flesh has gone. Well, thank you. I feel honoured you'd say that about my wanting to write. I hope for you, that whatever your dreams are, they happen for you and that you have a happy life. Janet
