How does one go about using the 'Find a Therapist' system?

I know this a really stupid question but how do you actually use the system?

I know that it's supposed to help you find a therapist but how do you do that exactly because each time I've tried it hasn't found anyone.

I suppose that must be because not many therapists are in the system yet.

@RarelyCharlie Good point.

I'd mainly put it down to Benevolent Lord Hunt's Great Purge of the NHS.

@RarelyCharlie Oh I did too, I would've assumed NHS therapists might register. Then again I guess it would only be for private therapists wouldn't it.

Do we actually have private therapists? I could swear the Party got rid of them.

Haha! Yes we have private therapists. If it's a private therapist you want, a good place to look is finder.bupa.co.uk

Explanation for anyone reading this who's not in the UK. Most healthcare in the UK is provided by government through the National Health Service (NHS), but the NHS doesn't give you a choice of therapist so there would be no point in NHS therapists signing up for a directory. Healtcare professionals working outside the NHS are known as "private" and they might possibly sign up for the directory here at 7 Cups. The UK has both commercial and not-for-profit health insurers. Tha largest non-for-profit health insurer is Bupa, and anyone can use the Bupa directory to find a therapist. The advantage is that Bupa has strict criteria so that only pretty good therapists get contracts with them. The disadvantage is that they're a not-for-profit, so really hot shot therapists who charge a lot of money don't want contracts with them and aren't in their directory.

@RarelyCharlie

You're actually saying that the Free Democratic Republic of Oceania actually has private therapists?! Wow, times really are changing.

I can't believe I forgot about Bupa. I'll have to check there, can't imagine anyone on the NHS actually signing up because I don't think there is anyone, not after seeing nothing but locums who don't even have the right patient notes.
