Everything happens for a reason.
There were 345 Friends in this community before I just now joined. I find that very interesting lol because that number is a sign to trust that everything happens for a reason for me. What makes it even more interesting is the time 12:34pm came up in my first journal entry here not too long ago. That also means to trust that everything happens for a reason but is more powerful than 345. In my journaling, I wrote about how I really feel I'm meant to be back at 7 Cups for a reason and the same goes certainly for this community. 😊 This is my first time here, but can't wait to see what goes on! 😆
Reasons happen!

@Helgafy Hello! Great questions.
1. 345 is interesting because of what it means to me, which is the idea that everything happens for a reason. I believe I felt called to get back onto 7 Cups after years of not using it for a reason and seeing 345 felt very confirming, especially through joining a spiritual community here. It's spiritual guidance for me that this is where I am meant to be. Not to mention that I have never found a place so fitting for me that seems to reflect so much of who I am and what I believe is right. I also have a very strong spiritual connection to mental health and being here gives me an immense sense of purpose, meaning, and inspiration.
2. Croatia is being invaded by Russia for a reason. A child lost his life in a car accident for a reason. I trust this, but who am I to tell you why or what to believe those reasons are? All I can tell you is what I personally believe the reason is, which is to encourage us to learn to have the faith and courage to do something about it, no matter how big or small our efforts may seem. I believe it's to grow spiritually, evolve, and gain wisdom to spread love, warmth, and peace. That is why I feel a strong sense of purpose when listening to members here on 7 Cups as I believe prioritizing mental health will solve injustice and that you don't need a degree to heal. I believe it all really just comes down to being willing to find the right resources and learning to believe in/trust yourself. How you do it is up to you.
3. "1234" is more accurate than "12:34pm". With what I believe, the universe communicates with me through numbers and whenever I see them in sequence (like 123, 345, 321, etc), it's always sign to trust that everything happens for a reason. 1234 is important for the same reasons as 345, but has more significance because there are more numbers (1234 has 4 and 345 has 3) and therefore more powerful. Another one that I've seen before is 2345. Communicating with the universe through numbers is called numerology and what a number means to me may not mean the same for you.
The last thing I want to comment on is that this expression is not Western and I would argue it originates in the East as it's about religion and not culture. While religion is pretty strong in America, it's not representative of all American culture and there are many people here who don't believe in this expression. I had trouble believing it myself for a long period at one point in my life.

Hi. Hi elizabeth.
Thank you for your answer. Of course I ment Ukraine is invaded by Putin because he wants to have more land. And he let the dark forces inside him rule.
Welcome back to 7Cups.
I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
@Helgafy Thank you 💕💕 Yes, I believe anyone who struggles with control gives too much power to self-destruction rather than self-love. LOVE is the answer 🙌
@elizabethTheAstronaut
You're right - love is the greatest thing of all - and we all come short. There was one man that didn't come short of giving love, Jesus Christ. Even when he was crucified he prayed for his enemies and said; "Father forgive them for they do not know what they're doing."

@Helgafy I don't identify with being aligned with Christianity, but I was when I was a child and I do believe there is a source that we were all created from on a soul level. Christianity taught me how to communicate with the universe through prayer. Among other things. I believe all known religions have truth and it's up to us as humans to tell the difference from deception. But oh wow, what it must be to have been born in the 50s! History always fascinates me and I love hearing the experiences of older people. My best friend is in her 70s! Haha the world is so much different from when you were in your 20s compared to mine. If I've learned anything about life it's to always do your own research and trust yourself 😆
@elizabethTheAstronaut hi I'm lola ❤ it's nice to meet you, I also believe everything happens for a reasons, reasons we don't always understand till the very end. Anyways, welcome back ❤ gives you a giant tiny hug
@Tinywhisper11
I really admire you in this Tiny. I wonder - with all your suffering - how can you manage to say: "It all happened for a reason."
@Helgafy because God wouldn't let suffering happen, unless it's for a greater good. Wars, famine, abuse.. There's gotta be a reason. Even if the purpose for it isn't for our personal gain, then it happens to teach someone else. We all have a purpose a reason for being. That's what I think anyway ❤❤
@Tinywhisper11
@Helgafy ❤❤ the bad demons hurt me, but God gave me a new chance at a real life🙂❤ I won't waste it, I'm never giving up ❤ thanks for that encouraging bible verse. Hugs you tightly ❤

Hi. Hi elizabeth. I discuss your title of this thread more with you here. I googled the title and Kate Bowler wrote about it. She got cancer. She writes:
."..But most everyone I meet is dying to make me certain. they want me to know, without a doubt, that there is hidden logic to this seeming chaos. Even when I was still in the hospital, a neighbor came to the door and told my husband that everything happens for a reason.
"I'd love to hear it," he replied.
"Pardon?" she said, startled.
"The reason my wife is dying," he said...
platitudes, man.
just stop."
@Helgafy I can respect that that phrase was and probably still is useless to Kate, but I really don't think anything will make me question how I feel about the idea that everything happens for a reason. With my great-grandmother having been Catholic and me having gone to Sunday school as a child, this belief is so ingrained in me and why I trust it is hard to explain. I don't identify as Christain, but due to my religious roots and belief that all religions have truth, Christianity plays a huge role in my spiritual growth, especially since I believe to have a spiritual connection with my great-grandmother.
