...See more Hello everyone! I would like to take a moment to introduce some additional forum moderation guidelines that we will be implementing to ensure that this community remains a respectful, constructive, and inclusive space for all members. Note: All forum moderation will be handled by the forum moderators or community leaders. 1. Respectful Dialogue: Encourage respectful and open dialogue that allows members to express their feelings and thoughts about religion without targeting specific religious groups. Ensure that discussions maintain a courteous and tolerant tone. 2. Avoid Forced Beliefs: Remove any posts that attempt to impose personal religious beliefs on others or pressure individuals to adopt a particular faith. Our community respects diverse perspectives and choices. 3. No Shaming or Discrimination: Prohibit any posts that involve shaming, discrimination, or derogatory language towards individuals, religious groups, or spiritual beliefs. Promote an inclusive and accepting environment. 4. Focus on Personal Experiences: Encourage members to share their personal experiences and insights related to spirituality and religion, emphasizing the impact on their lives rather than making sweeping judgments or condemnations. Moderate with Sensitivity: Exercise moderation with a sensitive and understanding approach. When removing posts, provide a clear explanation to the member and offer guidance on how they can rephrase or refocus their discussion in a more constructive manner. 5. Feedback and Appeals: Allow members to provide feedback on moderation decisions through the forum@7cups.com email or messaging the admin, @CheeryMango directly for those who believe their posts were unjustly removed. 6. Consistency: Maintain consistency in applying these guidelines to all posts and members, regardless of their religious or spiritual background. Ensure fairness in moderation. 7. Community Building: Lastly, focus on creating a positive and supportive atmosphere within the religious and spiritual community, where members can freely explore and discuss their beliefs and feelings without fear of judgment or disrespect. ------------------------- tagging the community taglist to be updated: @MeaningfulSilence @AffyAvo @Sunisshiningandsoareyou @tommy @theriverissinging @@Adamw12 @adripika @amiablePeace77 @Armon23 @beck1 @blindCupcake8608 @Carolincares7 @Chevy81 @courageousRiver589 @DivineLove04 @DragonView2 @easyDime4319 @egrima729 @goodAcres5039 @GoodEar1972 @Helgafy @HisLivingWaters @IamAubrey23 @ivoryDog4942 @Jaeteuk @Jenna @LoveMyMoonflowers @loyalApricot1375 @lyricalAngel70 @magnificentNutella @Mahad2804 @MalindaBelle @MeaningfulSilence @Michele2 @officialanonymous @ovowoody @passionateSea1909 @persistentFriend274 @philosophical2741 @pineapplepeanut @PoliteOcean @politePeach9642 @rhodawoolf @RogueOne1983 @SammiSweetheart30 @soulsings @stallion3 @SunShineAlwaysGrateful @Swordpsalm @ThatChristLover @TheJenInBlack @tommy @trueconfidant123 @Tulipsmile @Tyedyedbutterfly65 @yaswecan7
starting over and reconnecting with God

...See more Hello everyone, Earlier this year I had a lot of things going on which affected my relationship with God. I don't know how to come back to him and rebuild our relationship. Dec 2023, I got heartbroken, and I became Numb to love but I still tried to hold on to God's love. Then I got news from my parents that they needed me to defer my grad school admission because they could not afford it and at the same time my grandma developed lung cancer. After that, I lost my job and my grandma finally passed on. I started school and a new job in April so I've been super busy. I have not had time to go to church consistently and even when I have time I'm unmotivated or just generally stressed from school/ life. I'm also in the choir and have not been going for rehearsal or meetings. I feel so separated from the church and God and I'm not sure how to get back into in. I feel like everything happening this year just made me distance myself from God (maybe I was upset or just didn't know how to deal with grieve/ stress).  I know I love God but sometimes I feel that is not enough (or is it?). I still feel blessed but guilty that the relationship isn't what it was. I would hate to come off transactional because I genuinely believe in and love God. Even if it seemed I gave up on love, I met the most wonderful man in August, and it feels like he was Godsent.  Thank you for listening!

...See more this song has deep meaning to us. we claimed it as one of our life songs. as we accepted  Jesus Christ very young and He was why we got through the abuse too. He always faithful even when it seem like He not. we know many times He ran after us also many times He kelp us from worst abuse too. so we love this song as for us it very personal. it  like they wrote it about our relationship with God  Goodness of God I love You, Lord Oh Your mercy never fails me All my days, I've been held in Your hands From the moment that I wake up Until I lay my head Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God And all my life You have been faithful And all my life You have been so, so good With every breath that I am able Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God I love Your voice You have led me through the fire And in darkest night You are close like no other I've known You as a Father I've known You as a Friend And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah And all my life You have been faithful, oh And all my life You have been so, so good With every breath that I am able Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God, yeah 'Cause Your goodness is running after, it's running after me Your goodness is running after, it's running after me With my life laid down, I'm surrendered now I give You everything 'Cause Your goodness is running after, it's running after me And all my life You have been faithful And all my life You have been so, so good With every breath that I am able Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God I'm gonna sing, I'm gonna sing (oh, God) 'Cause all my life You have been faithful And all my life You have been so, so good With every breath that I am able Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
Are you 100% sure you are going to Heaven if you die today?

...See more Ephesians 2:8-9, which says, 'For by grace (grace meaning undeserved favour 🙂 it means we don’t deserve it, but we get it) you have been saved through faith (believing), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' It’s good news! 😃 ❤I am bringing my wonderful friend a gift. But the question how do you “reach out and take it” and “why do I need the gift”? Here is my answer: In an illustration I can put it like this: I am Emma, and I am standing in front of you with a gift. 💝 😃 I want to give it to you! 😃 will you say, “Okay, thank you, but I will first pay 1 million dollars for it and then I can take it?” I’ll be sad because I am giving you a gift out of love. 😔 Or say I say here is a gift and you say, “Okay, just wait give me a few years and I will do some good things for people then I will take the gift?” Or what if I say, please take the gift, just BELIEVE 😉 reach out your hands and take it, you are special to me. And you say “Sorry, wow, it is such an amazing gift, I will first get baptised and give my testimony and then I will take it, I also want to ask my pastor if he approves of me and the church to accept me, just wait” .. 😢 or what if yous ay I will go to the counselor and then tell him or her my sin and then I will take the gift of salvation. 😦 "For there is one God, and there is one mediator (middle Man) between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time." 1 Timothy 1: 5-6 put anyone else between yourself and God to reach God whether it be mother Mary, an idol, a stone, a chair, or a counselor is idolatory. Ephesians 2:8-9, which says, 'For by grace (grace meaning undeserved favour 🙂 it means we don’t deserve it, but we get it) you have been saved through faith (believing), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' It is so simple, and I tend to make it so complicated with all my fears. 😒 So here is just to put it into context: We have broken God’s laws. This is what makes us sinners. Right? Me as Emma has sinned, you have sinned everyone has sinned. Think about the most righteous person you know on the earth…YES s/he has sinned. 😁 😮 Romans 2:23, “For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” And here comes something similar to the law of gravity. It is a law that God has made from the beginning that can’t be changed. Romans 6:23a, “For the wages (consequence, salary) of sin is death…” Remember in the garden Adam and Eve, God said: “If you eat of this fruit, you will surely die.” So, it is a law from the beginning: sin=death. That is why in the Old Testament the priests sacrificed animals and “scapegoats” for the sins of the people to satisfy the “equation” of sin=death. And in the New Testament, Jesus, the Lamb of God died for our sin. See? 😁 Carrying on from the last verse: Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.” BUT there is GOOD NEWS: The Lord Jesus Christ paid for our sins. The Bible says: Romans 5:8, “But God commended (showed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died FOR us.” See? Satisfying the “equation” of sin=death. Romans 6:23b, “…but the GIFT of God is eternal life though Jesus Christ our Lord.” In Romans 10:13 there is a promise and if God makes a promise, it is NEVER broken: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved.” What do you think? It’s good news right? 😁💚 And here is the “how to reach out and take the gift”: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever BELIEVES in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3: 16 Simply believe and take 🫴💝the gift.

...See more Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭9‬ ‭CPDV‬‬ “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say, rejoice. Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, with prayer and supplication, with acts of thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. And so shall the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Concerning the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is chaste, whatever is just, whatever is holy, whatever is worthy to be loved, whatever is of good repute, if there is any virtue, if there is any praiseworthy discipline: meditate on these. All the things that you have learned and accepted and heard and seen in me, do these. And so shall the God of peace be with you.” ‭

Embracing New Beginnings
by ChaplainNoah

...See more Scripture: Isaiah 43:19 "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Reflection: In our lives, we often encounter seasons of transition and change. These moments can feel like wandering through a vast wilderness or navigating through a dry wasteland. Yet, God's promise to us is one of renewal and transformation. Just as He declared in Isaiah, He is continually at work, creating new paths and refreshing our spirits even in the most barren places. When we face uncertainties or feel stuck in familiar ruts, it is essential to remember that God is doing something new. This might be a new opportunity, a fresh perspective, or an unexpected blessing. Embracing these changes requires faith and openness to the new ways God is guiding us. Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your promise of new beginnings and for the ways You are at work in our lives. Help us to trust in Your plan, even when we cannot see the full picture. Give us the courage to embrace the new things You are doing and to walk confidently on the paths You are creating. Amen. Call to Action: Take a moment to reflect on an area of your life where you feel stagnant or uncertain. How might God be inviting you to embrace a new beginning? What is one step you can take this week to open yourself up to the new opportunities He is providing?

God and My Appearance

...See more Hello everyone, I’m new here but for a long time there’s been a question I’ve needed answers to. Is It bad to pray to god about your appearance. I know he cares about our hearts more but isn’t beauty also a gift from him, a gift I was also hoping I could pray for. I know I should assert the right amount of importance to the heart and my looks but in this world it still carries some importance. people say that I shouldn’t pray about it because it’s vain and God doesn’t care about it but most of the things we pray for are vain like money or a prestigious school, a nice house but God still answers those prayers. please tell me if it’s wrong I kind of feel helpless. I don’t want to go through other ways to make myself beautiful but I hate myself so much and there’s is so much trauma attached to who I am and how I look that I just feel I want to be made new, spiritually, mentally and physically.  Thinking that there’s no way I’ll ever be able to feel beautiful like everyone else makes me want life to be over a bit quicker and I don’t love that feeling.  And yes I know everyone is beautiful but even the bible describes some examples of outstanding beauty
Could really use any fellow believing friends right now more than ever.

...See more The past several weeks, due to the PTS I know the number and hour, I have faced the hardest times in my 32 years. That's with the nearly 17 years I've battled severe mental illness and losing battles the majority of those years. Threat of a year in a state hospital. 4 rounds of electro-convulsive treatments. At least a dozen inpatient stays and nearly losing my life several times. None of that compares to the traumas of the past several weeks. Nothing could prepare anyone for these things but I'm just a bit more vulnerable due to the other challenges I face. Without a particular person here I'm all alone no matter who else is around. I could use the company from others who are believers in the power of prayer and God's miracles and the beauty of faith. Such a simple word with such deep and profound meaning that makes it a challenge to explain to those unfamiliar with it sometimes. The person I love most is wounded. The person who was there while the other couldn't has had her homecoming and gone to be with God very suddenly to us. I don't even bother with the spiritual questions on these matters anymore. It has definitely been taught and understood there are just things not for us to understand...yet. Cherish your loved ones and take none of them for granted. And the one that may have left me the most unsettled daily is you just have absolutely no idea what tomorrow brings and if you think things surely can't get worse you can so easily be proven wrong. I don't believe at all this all is a punishment or anything. I can safely say I don't understand this trauma and tragedy that has happened. Leaving me feeling vulnerable, exposed, unsafe, insecure, very alone and a diminished ability to think of anything as being for certain. The borders that secured my world and added the comfort I could attain have been shattered. I feel like I just spend all day pleading with God no matter what I'm doing. My health has been forced to decline in a couple of ways but that can be mended when the bearer of my life is safe and back home with me. I always seem to be busy to others but really, I feel nothing I've been up to, treatments included, have been worth a thing. I just stay distracted to keep my thoughts from going down the wrong rabbit hole by years of habit they find their way to. Nobody really gets me. If something actually happened to this person, I'd be worried about even being in my home I've had my whole life for very long. I've never been taught or prepared for the real world much. I blame myself a little, but I know there are bigger factors at that. So, I need some prayer friends. I only have the ability to repay you with prayers in return from me. But God will give out the just rewards some day in the future. Which I left with the realization that could be in 40 years, maybe tomorrow, even the next hour. I just need a little extra help feeling good things again and friends who will share prayers and maybe some Scripture they personally find helpful is the best kind of friend I need right now. A lifetime of studying Scripture, including on the related subjects to all of this, but now that I'm personally facing and experiencing it first hand the years of study have reversed, and I feel like a beginner again. I strongly need others to remind me and reiterate the things I know but really need to hear from people I can trust. And trust is a sacred word in my vocabulary. But anyone willing to help me a little in this time period is definitely a strong candidate for it because I'm having some difficulty seeing very much good left in the world with how evil things are turning. I know they are out there and have popped up a few times over the weeks. But I desperately need it after an even in just the past 12 hours. Let's take our real forms as brothers and sisters and act like Christ Himself showed us and led by example.
