Ideals in a relationship

In my past relationship, the other person wanted a very fast paced relationship, and a long lasting one (more than 5 months). However, being still in High School, I want a slow pace relationship and not longer than 5 months. Is there any possible way I can ask people I currently like, if they want a Slow Pace Relationship like me?

Hi, @AngelsDontExist/Pally!

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here on the Relationship Support Forum with your question! Yes, there are definitely ways to convey your feelings to the people you currently like. As I have said with many people in relationships, communication is the best healer to any fight or doubts. How would you prefer to say what you feel?

@imontheoutside

I am not so sure. I feel like directly asking might be a bit odd like they might ask me what I think then copy me, or a bit hurt when we have different ideals. However i can't if think of any ways to indirectly ask. I could ask about past relationships, however it could be different with me.
