Dealing with loss

My mom is in her mid-70s. She survived a lot that should’ve killed her a long time ago. That said she’s my best friend and I know time is limited. Long story short how do you deal with the lost of a loved one

Hello. You can never be prepared enough with losing someone. The grief that comes with it is unimaginable. The pain will be in your heart for a very long time. But time heals pain (or helps you forget the pain). Getting a grief therapist helps.

When my father passed away suddenly, I cried every night. An understanding friend called me every night for a few weeks (I can't remember how long) just to listen to me telling her the same thing that I really missed him. It's the most painful pain I've ever experienced in my life.

The pain remained for at least 1.5 years.

@JudicatorPanzer

Everyone's grief process is different .... i have several neighbors who are elderly and i imagine each time i do not see them for a couple of days they may be gone it is an awful way to worry abut it.

my mom passed a few years ago not an only child but close as siblings do not even talk ....

i thought it was ok but hit hard about a year later .......you really cannot prepare as it will hit you like a ton of bricks eventually the best you can do is understand that death is part of life and something we all face.
