Hi--here are a couple resources I was able to find that have some tips for how to find a person that you might be interested in dating.

Personally for myself, I've found that most of the people I've been romantically involved with are people that I met and became friends with through shared activities/interests. Then just as a result of being around them a lot and having that activity in common, we might start connecting in other ways (e.g. we talk about other things, I notice that they have a really great personality, etc.)
Here are a couple resources I found that have some tips for how to transition from a friendship to a relationship, in the event that you find someone who you are friendly with and might be interested in dating.

Also if you're looking for someone to talk to, the most reliable way to find a good listener is to use the "Browse Listeners" page and check the box for "Verified Listeners". HERE is a link to verified listeners who accept chats on relationship issues.
