How do I approach selfish tendencies?
Hey all. I’m struggling with my man being very selfish. He doesn’t understand how it’s selfish though. He just thinks it’s ok to do what he wants without regard to how others take it. Or if he does think about it, he decides that what he wants to do/say is more important. Not sure how to approach talking about being more empathetic.

That is a tough situation
i think often being selfish is a trait they grew up with and IMO until they see it for themselves empathy is not a trait you can talk them into. Thinking about it is what some say to get the conversation over .....
if possible if example is needed turn it around on him a selfish person sees empathy when they are the ones seeking it.
Unlikely. A selfish person will see the very same behavior quite differently when they are on the other side. Some get the message when they find themselves alone, eventually. Selfishness can be a community sport as well, so some folks are actually encouraged to be self centered duche bags and never “grow out of it.”
