Oh that's a tricky one... I wonder if it would be useful to put your relationship with this person in perspective, such as exploring some of the following questions:
- How close are you and that person?
- What sort of feelings do you have for them?
- What do you appreciate/not appreciate about them?

What are you comfortable with discussing with them?
- How trustworthy do you find them?
- How important is it for you to know the answer to this, and why? And how soon do you feel you need to know, and why?
- Do you have any common friends or any person IRL who knows you well enough and who you trust enough to talk to to help you gain more perspective on the situation?
- ...etc.
I hope you will be able to find some clarity eventually! It can be frustrating not knowing what you are to someone.
