No friends

I realised that I have no friends, nobody texts me other than my colleagues. All the people who used to be close to me are no longer close to me, they seem to have better friends. I thought I had a childhood friend but instead he was just trying to take advantage of me and never treated me like a friend. I feel extremely sad and lonely.

Feeling lonely can be incredibly difficult, especially when it seems like the connections you once had are slipping away. First, remember that your worth isn't determined by the number of friends you have or how often you're contacted. Quality matters more than quantity.

Consider reaching out to acquaintances or colleagues you feel comfortable with. Sometimes, nurturing new connections can lead to fulfilling friendships. Also, explore activities or hobbies that interest you; joining clubs or groups centered around these can help you meet like-minded people. Reflect on what you value in a friend and what kind of relationships you want to have. This can guide you in seeking out people who align with your values. It's understandable to feel hurt by past experiences, but try not to let those negative encounters define your future relationships. Trust takes time to build, so be patient with yourself as you open up to the possibility of forming new connections.
