Breakup
I broke up with my girlfriend this past week. I was unhappy with her level of emotional support. Furthermore, since it was an internet only romance, it's much more difficult to discern what a person's true intentions are or exactly what they're thinking. We had radically different life plans. Some of the pics of her I found online were inconsistent, which raised a red flag. I just couldn't pretend I was interested in this person when they did so little to engage my emotions. Furthermore, she wanted me to move to Chicago which is totally not in my life plan. The woman follows the man, the man doesn't follow the woman. She attached herself very quickly to me, which I thought was unusual, but she was the best offer I've had in 6 years, so I thought I would just go with it. I'm disabled so I'm extremely dependent upon online contact with human beings.
@Regmo I understand you very much, I also have a disabled brother, he often wandering on the Internet maybe to find a friend to talk to, believe that you still found some friends and get comfort, hope not to let this mess up your life, just let this way to help you get rid of loneliness. And look for true friends around you. They are the ones you need.
@Regmo,
I do hope you connect truly with someone.
But be aware that ideas like "a woman should follow a man" and remarks like "she was the best offer" are not gonna make your journey for a soulmate easy.
@Regmo. I am sorry I hope you find someone else it may take time to find that person who checks all the boxes.
