I was with this guy for a couple of months... then his mental health got super bad... he tried to k!ll himself several times and was in and out of mental hospitals... he was then in a coma for 3 weeks... he came out different... he was angrier... we still talked for a but until he attempted again... then he told me to leave him alone... never talk to him again... its been awhile since that... but I can't stop thinking about him... he's in my dreams every night.... what can I do to stop thinking about him?

@jaxxym245

i may not be the best on advice but.... you need to realize that he is getting what he needs and if he needs a break he needs a break, and you should take this time as a time to think about yourself. HE left YOU. He doesnt deserve you..

Hi, that must have been a really stressful situation for you. Well, sadly mental health issues can be very tiring and exhausting. Also, sometimes people have not much control over them.

However, it's not your fault and you totally deserve a peaceful and calm environment. I understand that the thoughts must be scaring you even now but just know that you couldn't have done better and give that love and care to yourself. Do the things you once loved, focus on taking care of yourself, build a routine. I get flashbacks too so I always try to build a routine before I sleep.

Here are a few things I personally do in my night routine-

Take a bath and wash my hair, change into comfy clothes, moisturise, drink water, oil my hair if I'm stressed, listen to some calming music or read, clean my environment. This helps me wind down a little and helps me sleep better.

You can build your own routine according to whar suits you but give yourself some time for your own. And don't be too hard on yourself. It will get better with time. ❤️🌻
