Introducing a New Project: 7 Cups Book Club!!
Hello everyone! A new event in the Self-Harm Recovery Subcommunity will be a Book Club! We will be hosting events in the forums and in group discussions weekly!
For this event, we are recruiting team members. No one on this team needs to have any history of self-harm. We are accepting Forum Supporters and Forum Mentors, Room Supporters, Group Mods, and everyone else!
Listeners and members are both applicable to be team members!
>>>Apply to be a team member here!<<<
We are looking for people to help us write forum posts and discussion scripts, lead discussions, post forum posts, and check books for being non-triggering and age-appropriate! We are also looking for event coordinators who can help @Aurora33 and I (24Help1) plan posts and discussions!
We will be regularly posting forum discussions and hosting group discussions to discuss the books that we will be reading! We will be reading the same book all at once for the purpose of discussing it.
Feel free to purchase the books or borrow them from your local library! You can also read them on the following websites:
ReadPrint ***only for classics***
We will also supply links to the specific audiobooks and books that we are reading as we start them!
Do I have to purchase books?
No purchases are ever necessary to be in this book club! There are also audiobook versions of most books available on websites or in your local library.
>>>Give input on group discussion times here<<<
These discussion times will be weekly, so try to choose the times that work for you most often!
>>>Request Books to Read with us Here<<<
All books are safe for teens to read and are entirely non-triggering!
Our first book will be Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell!
Feel free to get it ahead of time, we will also be providing specific links for this book and audiobook in our post on July 5.
Join the Book Club taglist here to get updates regularly!
I hope to see you all join our team and join us for discussions!
Please PM @24Help1 with any questions regarding joining the team or attending discussions!
We all hope to see you there
@smolecho Um…This thread was posted in Relationship & Friendship Support. It looks like it should be in the Self-Harm Recovery Subcommunity.
