I used one but in California, not Virginia. I think it works best if both parties are okay with it and there are no major things to negotiate that would require a lawyer, but I'm speaking very generally and definitely not as a subject matter expert! I used the one that had zoom in the name, and it worked fine, but you could probably call your county clerk's office and they could let you know which sites are reputable/the ones they file successfully on a consistent basis.
