The First Step (Ninjago)
Harumi crossed her arms across her chest, craning her neck to look up at Pixal, "You think this will work?" the former villain asked, a hint of anxiety in her voice. Pixal nodded with a quick blink, brushing a lock of Harumi's cream-colored hair out of her face, "Affirmative this is the first step towards being reformed." Pixal informed her she knelt so she was at eye level with Harumi, her emerald eyes bore into Harumi's jade ones. Harumi turned to avoid her gaze, "Whatever let's just get this over with." she scoffed, putting her hands in her pockets, and walked to Lloyd's room with heavy steps. Pixal's smile fell, knowing this wasn't going to be good.
Harumi knocked on Lloyd's door, annoyance in her gaze. I can't believe she convinced me to do this, she thought with an eye-roll. She's just a robot. What does she know about relationships? She was drawn out of her thoughts by the sound of the door opening. She quickly composed herself, trying to put on a poker face as Lloyd opened the door, his confusion turning to annoyance. He let out a small groan, "What do you want?" Lloyd asked coldly. Harumi rolled her eyes, "I'm just here to say sorry about everything I did." she began. Lloyd was barely listening and tuning most of it out, "I know I can't take back what I did but I feel awful." Harumi continued, but it fell on deaf ears, "And why should I forgive you?" Lloyd asked with an eyebrow raised, crossing his arms against his chest.
Her eyes narrowed in annoyance, "That would be the nice thing to do." She told him, tilting her chin up in a snobby way. Lloyd scoffed and began closing the door, "Save it for someone who actually cares." he told her coldly before slamming the door in her face. Harumi stood there annoyed and started walking to her room, bumping into Kai, who turned to her with hatred in his amber gaze, "Watch it Quiet One." he scoffed and kept walking to the kitchen. Harumi sighed and walked to Pixal's room. She felt so relaxed with the nindroid, but why? Pixal was just a robot. She couldn't possibly feel anything towards her. She couldn't help but think if there was something more than friendship as she opened the door to Pixal's room. Pixal turned from her desk. Pixal wore a warm smile spread across her face once she stepped inside. It gave Harumi butterflies.
Pixal stood up from her desk and walked over to Harumi, smiling, "How did the talk with Lloyd go?" she asked, with a slight head tilt. Pixal was the only one who trusted Harumi. She believed that Harumi could change and was willing to give her a chance. Harumi sighed heavily, "Not the best." she admitted, rubbing her arm. She was wearing the hoodie Pixal had given her when she first got to the monastery. Pixal put a hand on Harumi's shoulder in a comforting manner, "I'm sure they will all learn to trust you in time Rumi." Pixal told her, comforting the former princess and villain.
Harumi rolled her eyes and sat down in a chair with her back facing Pixal, "Why would it matter if I tried?" she asked with a small sigh. Pixal's gaze softened as she placed her cold metallic hand on her shoulder, "Even if no one else considered you redeemed I always will." Pixal promised with a friendly smile. Harumi felt her cheeks heat up a bit. Harumi stuttered a bit, struggling to speak. She cleared her throat, "You would?" she muttered to Pixal, who nodded and walked over to face Harumi. Pixal planted a small kiss on Harumi's forehead, "I promise." Harumi felt her face flush red. Looking into Pixal's soft gaze was like looking into heaven all her worries melted away. Harumi took Pixal's hands, pulling the tall android close. She leaned forward but stopped midway nervously, "Sorry, I don't know what got into me." Harumi spoke softly, avoiding Pixal's gaze, pulling her hands away.
Pixal grabbed Harumi's hands and pulled her close, her face having a slight purple blush as she brought Harumi closer. Harumi swallowed hard before she could utter another word. Pixal pressed her surprisingly soft metallic lips against Harumi's. The android moved her hands onto Harumi's shoulders, kissing her deeply. Harumi was in shock but soon began to kiss her back with the same amount of passion. Pixal pulled away after a few seconds, smiling, "Everyone deserves love Harumi even you." Pixal told her, planting another small kiss on her forehead. Harumi was stunned, her face flushed a deep red. She glanced up at Pixal, surprised at the samurai's deep purple blush.
Pixal took her hands off Harumi's shoulder and walked over to a beanbag chair in the corner of her room, "Follow me." she told Harumi. Harumi followed her after a few moments. Pixal sat on the beanbag chair, smiling at Harumi, "Would you like to join me?" Pixal offered, and Harumi almost instantly took the offer and sat with Pixal. The samurai smiled fondly at Harumi, wrapping one arm around her and pulling her close to her cold body. Harumi shuddered a bit from the contact, "I do apologize for I can not heat my metal." Pixal told her with a look of concern in her eyes. Harumi began looking around, "Do you have any blankets?" she asked. Pixal nodded, removing her arm and standing up, "I do I shall fetch one." She walked over to her bed, grabbed a blank blanket, and sat back with Harumi, wrapping both of them in the blanket. Pixal grinned, looking down at Harumi, "Is this more comfortable for you?" Harumi gave a curt nod, leaning into Pixal's embrace.
It had been so long since she had felt the comfort of another person or android. It felt nice having Pixal gently rub her back and have her head on her shoulder. Harumi shifted slightly, moving closer to Pixal, "Thank you." she whispered. Pixal looked confused, "I only grabbed a blanket there is no need for thanks." Pixal continued rubbing Harumi's back to comfort and warm her up. Harumi let out a small giggle, "No not the blanket I mean thank you for trusting me for everything you do." Harumi began another blush forming on her cheeks, "I don't know why you trust me but I'm thankful that you do." Harumi craned her neck once more to look up to Pixal. She had a faint blush on her cheeks, "It's because I love you Harumi." Pixal told her, cupping her cheek. Harumi felt her heart skip a beat at her words, "You...love me?" she asked, barely louder than a breath. Pixal nodded, "Yes Harumi I love you more than anything." she told her, planting a small kiss on her forehead as she had done many times before.
Chapter 2 of The First Step
Harumi sat up, stretching her arms out. She had slept in Pixal's room for the night. It felt safer here. She would have to ask Master Wu if she could switch rooms and sleep here. Harumi looked to the other side of the bed. Pixal was gone. She started to look around, but she wasn't in the room. Harumi sat up, rubbing her head, her eyes darting to the open door. Pixal must have left a while ago. Harumi let out a small groan. She was still groggy as she got dressed and left the room.
She sighed as she walked through the hallway where everyone's rooms were. She saw Lloyd's door was open and peeked in, seeing him putting on a chest binder. Harumi let out a shocked gasp but quickly covered her mouth. It was too late as Lloyd turned to see Harumi standing outside his door. Horror in his eyes, "Harumi I can explain!" he yelled out. Harumi was stunned but managed to form a sentence, "You're a girl?" she asked, shocked to find out the green ninja wasn't male. Lloyd quickly got upset and defensive, "I'm transmasc thank you!" he yelled back, crossing his arms before putting the top of his green ninja gi on.
Harumi blinked a few times, "I'm sorry I didn't know." she told him barely louder than a breath. She was sorry she didn't want to bring up a sensitive subject. Lloyd glared at her momentarily before sighing, "You didn't know it's fine." he reluctantly told her. He wasn't pleased to forgive her, but he saw the look of guilt in her eyes and knew she was sorry this time. Harumi was surprised to see Lloyd forgiving her. Harumi looked at his binder, noticing the rips and tears. It was very worn out, "Do you need a new one?" Harumi asked gently. Lloyd narrowed his eyes suspiciously, "Why would you care?" he asked, his voice cold and bitter. Harumi took a small step forward, "Well isn't that what friends do?" she questioned with a slim smile. Lloyd took a threatening step forward, his tail flicking in anger, "Yeah but we aren't friends." he shouted, anger in his voice.
Harumi knew it would be hard to gain his trust but kept trying, "I know you won't forgive me. But I want to try and help." Harumi explained, keeping her distance, not wanting to upset him more. Lloyd was getting more annoyed at her antics, "What did Pixal make you say this?" he asked. He was still confused about why the android cared so much for Harumi. Harumi sighed, "I haven't seen Pixal all morning." Harumi admitted. Kai opened his door, stepping out, "Oh your the reason why she told us to be quiet?" he asked with a snarky attitude. He didn't like Harumi after she manipulated his brother. Harumi had a faint blush on her cheeks, "She told you all to be quiet?" she echoed, shocked that Pixal would do that. Kai and Lloyd both nodded.
Lloyd then spoke slowly, "Yeah. She always does this." he told Harumi, and her blush only grew. Harumi took a deep breath and cleared her throat, "So about your binder, if you tell me your...size I can buy you a new one." Harumi offered once more. Lloyd let out a small sigh. He did need a new one, so he nodded, "Alright fine." Harumi's eyes lit up. It was progress. Lloyd had a slim smile, "I'll tell you later." he told Harumi as he left his room to the dining room, "Come on Pixal probably made breakfast." Harumi was surprised but eagerly followed him to the dining room.
Pixal was already setting plates down, her mechanical green eyes darted to Harumi and Lloyd in surprise, "There appears to be no hostility detected from either of you." she commented, her eyes darting from Harumi to Lloyd. Lloyd sat in his seat, motioning for Harumi to sit with him, "She's not that bad." Lloyd told Pixal, whose eyes lit up in joy seeing Lloyd and Harumi close by each other. Pixal sat next to Harumi, smiling at her. The other ninja soon came in, glaring daggers at Harumi for being so close to Lloyd. After what seemed like an eternity, "Why are you near him planning to break his heart again?" Cole asked with an eyebrow raised and an untrusting glare on his face. Lloyd then spoke defending Harumi, "She's not going to." Lloyd told them. Jay looked incredibly nervous just from Harumi's presence, "Lloyd she did ya know." he could barely even speak from his anxiety.
"I know what she did." Lloyd told him, his eyes darting to Harumi, "But maybe she can change." Harumi thought for a heartbeat, turning to Lloyd and putting her hand on his, "I really did have feelings for you and..." she trailed off, lying to him. Pixal cleared her artificial throat, "Harumi." her eyes were narrowed as she looked at Harumi, sensing her dishonesty. Harumi let out a small sigh, "I'm sorry...Lloyd I never did have feelings for you." she began but was interrupted by Kai's angry yell, "I knew it you don't care about anyone but yourself!" he roared angrily, slamming his fists on the table causing the silverware to bounce.
Pixal quickly tried to step in, placing her cold hand on Kai's shoulder, "Kai please let her speak." she told him, a bit of panic in her voice from the red ninja's hostility. Kai shrugged her hand off, glaring daggers at Harumi, "I don't understand how you care so much for her. She hacked you, she broke Lloyd's heart and brought back Lord Garmadon!" he began angrily yelling. Pixal had had enough of the constant berating, "Enough!" she yelled as she gave him a glare that could rival Nya's fury. She crossed her arms against her chest, "I don't want to hear another word about her past, now Harumi please continue what you were saying." she spoke calmer as she turned to Harumi, who looked stunned from the android's sudden outburst.
Harumi swallowed the lump in her throat, "There's a reason I never had feelings Lloyd. I'm lesbian." she told him. The room was silent, and the ninja's eyes widened with mixed and confused reactions. Pixal smiled at Harumi, walked over to her, and rested her hand on her shoulder for comfort. Lloyd didn't say anything but nodded, accepting that answer, and didn't say anything more. Kai rolled his eyes and glared at Harumi, "You still broke his heart." he reminded her, receiving another glare from Pixal. He turned away, glaring at Harumi before standing up, "You're weak just using him like a pawn." he taunted with a smirk. Harumi was fuming as she stood up, "I'm not weak!" she hissed. Kai merely laughed, standing up as well, "Let's test that how about a one-on-one?" he offered with a sly grin. Pixal was about to step in but stared in shock as Harumi nodded, "Fine then let's go." Pixal felt her stomach drop at Harumi's words. She let out a heavy sigh, knowing this wasn't going to end well.
Harumi made her way to the courtyard with Kai. The two were furious at each other as Pixal followed behind, "Perhaps there is a better solution than violence?" she questioned. She spoke fast, trying to get them to avoid this fight. Kai scoffed and pushed Pixal back slightly. The android didn't move much due to how heavy she was, making Kai growl in annoyance. The trio soon made their way to the courtyard as Kai pushed open the wooden sliding doors and walked to the middle of it, Harumi on the other side. Kai had a sneer on his face as he got into his fighting stance, "I'll let you go first, wow me." he taunted. Pixal stood at the sidelines. She knew Harumi was strong. Harumi dashed at Kai. He balled his hand up into a fist, going for a punch, but was stunned when Harumi ducked under him, delivering a blow to his gut and one to his chest, knocking the red ninja down.

Hii so I haven't finished chapter 4 so this is chapter 3.5 of what happened after the fight with Kai and Nya
Kai stood there, still in shock, watching Cyrus and Cole bring Pixal, who was heavily damaged, to Cyrus' limo. He finally managed to snap out of it, hearing Nya's voice, "Kai what happened!?" she asked in a panic. Kai didn't respond as he remembered what he had just done. The memories came flooding in all at once, his fire hitting her eye, her scream of pain, Harumi crying out her name, everything. Nya was starting to get concerned with her brother's silence and shook his arm, "Kai tell me what happened." she asked him again, this time with more urgency. Kai swallowed hard, his hands shaking, "Pixal got hurt." he muttered barely louder than a breath. Nya knew he was leaving out details when she saw Harumi rushing out of the monastery. She could only assume she was going to make sure Pixal was okay.
Kai breathed a shaky sigh and turned around, walking past Nya and into the monastery, "Kai you can't just say she got hurt tell me how." Nya demanded. The water ninja was furious at him. She wanted to know if Pixal was okay. Kai stopped in his tracks, "Fine alright." he finally said, his tone slightly loud. Nya's eyes widened for a second. She was confused about why her brother was getting aggressive, "It was my fault...I hurt her happy?" Kai admitted it was rare for him to admit when he was wrong. Nya looked horrified by this. She took a deep breath, trying to calm down, "What happened." she asked again, putting a hand on her brother's shoulder.
Kai turned his head to the side, not wanting to meet his sister's gaze, "I got in a fight with Harumi, Pixal got in the way of one of my fireballs." Kai reluctantly told her. Nya was mortified but furious at him. She groaned in annoyance, "So let me get this straight you got in what I'm going to assume is a fight over nothing and used your powers?" Nya asked, glaring, resting her hands on her hips. Kai rolled his eyes and nodded, "Harumi started it by lying." he spat out, turning to face Nya. Nya rolled her eyes, leaning on her hip, "So that gives you an excuse to nearly light her on fire?" she asked, furiously now. Kai glared at her, "I was protecting Lloyd as you should." his tone rising as he pushed Nya back slightly.
Nya glared at him again, "He doesn't need to be protected like a child!" she snapped, shoving Kai back. Kai was starting to get furious. Blinded by all the rage building up inside him. Kai was barely in control. Everything was a blur as he delivered a sharp punch to his sister's jaw, "Why don't you learn to shut up!" he screamed, seeing red from all the anger pent up from Harumi, from Nya bugging him, from Pixal's stupid attempts to make Harumi a better person it was too much he had finally snapped. But on the one person, Kai had always sworn to protect and love, his sister.
He quickly realized what he had done. Kai looked terrified at what he had done, "Nya I'm so sorry." he tried to apologize. Nya had already begun to leave tears in the water ninja's eyes, "Save it for someone who actually cares!" she called back harshly, walking inside the monastery and slamming the doors behind her. Kai stood there, reaching out to her. He couldn't believe what he had just done to his own sister. Kai felt like a monster. Nya didn't deserve this. She was trying to help. Kai facepalmed, tears running down his face.
