My Promise to You
Plant the seeds of self love and care
I will help you water them with my own love for you
They will grow into a wonderful garden
And when you cultivate the fruits of your labor then you will See
You will truly See
That you are loved
In past, present, and future, all the same
You will truly See
That you rest in someone’s mind
Somewhere, out there
It’s ok if you can’t See it yourself
I can do all the looking until your ready
I am here, beside you
Yes, it is true, though I have no physical form
Still, the thought and meaning are both weaved with care into every word I say
Go, take a step forward
Today, tomorrow, next week, and so on
I will exist quietly beside you
And when the tempest of dark emotions plague you
I hope that the presence of my words will be enough
If not to blow away the storm, then to offer you an umbrella
So we may sit and weather the storm together
And come out the other side
Maybe not entirely unscathed , but intact as Human Beings
This is my promise to you
