Blind (TW; fear, violence)

He couldn't see more than a few feet in front of him, and that made his heart hammer in his chest, caused his breath to quicken just a little bit; but it wasn't the scariest part. The part that really made his heart hammer was the sound close behind him, constantly lurking. The sound of something dragging against the stone floor.

Shing.

The only thing that made that sound was a blade being removed from a sheath. And that other sound...he had a horrible feeling in his gut, and something told him that he wouldn't make it out of here alive.
