A Piece of My Poetry
You don’t know where they may be,
Silently sipping their tea.
May look calm,
Good the lines on their palm.
But inside they’re dying,
All they tryna do is surviving.
Inside there is a spirit so kind,
But isn’t the world so spined?
Tearing the soul apart,
Hunting their mind and heart.
You say a thing that’s not so kind,
It may forever *** their mind.
They know how to hide it,
Suffocating the tears in a pit.
You may never know,
The things they don’t show.
To them darkness isn’t foreign,
It is Oh! So common.
This is an endless abyss,
But how do I know this?
You may ask,
Because behind the mask,
I am a victim.
The odds are pretty slim.
I know,
Did I ever show? No.
But don’t care now,
Did you? When I had to bow.
To the hardships,
Going through the flips.
It was a labyrinth,
I just wanted a hint.
I knew there was no such thing as perfection,
But still I hated my reflection.
A cloak of sadness draped my heart,
A tale of tears, the world apart.
None of you did care,
Said sitting on a chair,
“Oh, that’s nothing,
No need to still cling.”
Did you ever guess,
My mind must be in a mess.
No one could fix,
I felt like Nyx.
No one deserves,
The darkness they preserve.
So, stay strong,
Prove the world wrong.
Then sit by the sea,
And quietly see.
How far have you come?
Here now I keep my mum.
Think about it.
Doesn’t it all fit?
