February 2nd - Time to Talk Day!
Today is Time to Talk Day!
This day is about helping to encourage people to speak and listen more about mental health!
At the moment, too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, ashamed and worthless by other peoples reactions. But talking about mental health doesnt need to be difficult. It can be as simple as making time to have a cup of tea or go for a walk, and listening to someone talk about how they feel.
Being open about mental health and ready to listen can make a positive difference to someones life. [Source].
Today on 7 Cups, we hope to encourage talking about mental health, as well as removing misconceptions surrounding it. We also ultimately hope to continue to try and bring awareness, support and a comfortable space for those affected by mental illness!
So please join us in opening up about mental health, confronting the stigma and educating ourselves on it!
Hope you have a wonderful day and are able to share!
If you wish to be notified of future special events, please join this tag list*!
*We have started a new tag list to be as current as we can, so those of you on the previous one(s) will have to re-join too. Thank you very much!
