EoYC - ♥ Favourite Holiday Tale ♥
Once upon a time, when little Skye was erm, little… she had a neighbour. Lets call him Finn (because its just a fabulous name). This is the story of how Finn and Skye married, and then became besties. Because that is clearly the way all friendships progress.
So one day (this day might or might not have been Christmas. Dates are tough. For the purpose of the story, lets just make it Christmas yeah?). Finn was playing with his friends. Something with balls. Not-so-little Skye doesnt remember all the details (whoops). Since it was a surprisingly cool day, little Skye put down her book (She was always a bookworm. Always.) and off to play. At this juncture, we should note that Skye was also always a feminist and little boys can be reaaalllyyy erm. dim. Yeah lets go with that *censors for the kids* So when Skye demanded, erm nicely asked, to play too, she obviously got some variation of this: Nooooooo girls cant play. Can you even carry this ball followed by peals of laughter. (little boys are reaaaaaaallllyyy dim. Also, amazing sense of humour. clearly.)
This is where little Skye discovers she has a temper, and whoosh goes the ball right at Finns face (he still says it hurts. It doesnt.). And then off goes Skye back into her room. Two hours later, there is a knock on her door and she gets a proposal because obviously Finna and Skye would be great at ruling the world as king and queen (this was probably where all the world domination plans began). So as married friends, the first thing they did was watch Polar Express together, because even kings and queens need entertainment.
Finn is now super duper far away in a whole other country, but no matter what, they still watch Polar Express every Christmas. Even though now they can acknowledge the terrible graphics. Still.
Now that youve heard my fabulous Holiday story, youve been caught! Its tag, and YOURE it. Holidays, are (somehow) always filled with beautiful sparkling hilarious stories. (Its probably due to all the food involved). Whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, Hari Raya or erm all other stuffs.
So, tell us! Whats YOUR Favourite Holiday Story? ♥ :D
Ahhh! I LOVES this story!
I don't think I have a story any near as good, but I will share a favorite holiday traditions instead. :)
Every year growing up, my mom would tell us to leave a pair of shoes outside of our doors (apparently this was a Christmas tradition somewhere that she read...), and then when we woke up, there would be a treat that we could entertain ourselves with until it was time to go downstairs for Christmas morning (in retrospect, I can see this was just a really clever ploy to keep us quiet until a reasonable hour of morning...) But I used to get cool puzzle books and things like that and LOVED them!
