Wicked Place for Love
Isn’t the world a wicked place for love?
The sun can never touch the moon,
No matter how much it tries.
The ocean can never touch the shore,
No matter how far it goes.
The star goes down in flames,
Whenever it hopes to reach the earth.
And even when two lovers are fated together,
Doesn’t destiny play such a game,
That they are forced to be pulled apart?
Such is the cruelty, my love,
That I ask you yet again,
Isn’t the world a wicked place for love?

It was a very sweet and gentle poem. I liked the imagery you used for the state of unrequited/forlorn love. I imagine it will resonate with all who share a romantic sensibility.
And hopefully the world is not too wicked a place for love in the end.
