The Unending Fight
In the depths where shadows choke the light,
Where hope is strangled, dreams ignite.
I tread the path of endless night,
Cursed by life, a constant fight.
No joy to taste, no sweet reprieve,
Just hollow days that make me grieve.
The world spins on, but I remain,
Drenched in this unending pain.
False smiles, fake words, a cruel jest,
A universe that won’t give rest.
Promises of joy, a fleeting lie,
Left with nothing, left to cry.
Anger boils, a seething flame,
At this fate, this twisted game.
Why grant the wish to breathe, to live,
when happiness is but a sieve?
To the heavens, I scream my plight,
In this cruel, relentless night.
Never happy, forever damned,
By a world that doesn’t give a damn.
@WinterAims Beautiful poem, expresses the pain and frustration so well<3 Hope love and support always be around you <3
@BlueDarkAura Thank you, I tend to only write a stanza per day or so anymore rather than writing full ones, just a stanza whenever I’m having a bad day, it helps me sort of express myself and recognize any bad feelings or thoughts I’m having, I usually write one positive stanza per poem and add it to the end but I didn’t get that far with this one 😅
@WinterAims Relatable ^^ I don't write as beautifully as you do<3 but it does help, feels a lot better when you write while crying XD helps sort the thoughts.
I'm glad you have your writing and that you're able to express yourself through it. It's so cool that you can keep adding to your poem like that and it honestly feels like a whole<3 And so glad that you are able to find positives too!
