hands ready for the belt

Schooled in perseverance
a virtue I never felt

Names and dates of battles
Kings and Queens reigned

Stand up and say by rote
alas I failed to be trained

Repeat after me and
always remember this

Torturers playing teachers

@David57 teachers used to beat kids too😢😞I always would of thought I'd like going to school, but no way not now.

I've had my share of canings, ruler across my hands, not ducking when the blackboard eraser headed my way, and beatings by PE teachers. They all had one thing in common, the teachers loved it!
