Cold feet by a Shy Poet!

Cold Feet

In the depths of winter, my toes do protest,
With a chill so biting, they demand a warm nest.
They're icy and frozen, like popsicles in a row,
"Why venture outside?" they cry, "when it's cozy here, you know?"

But cold feet aren't just a temperature plight,
They're also the jitters that give us a fright.
When life offers a leap, a chance to soar,
My feet say, "Hold on, let's think some more."

I stood at the altar, ready for 'I do,'
My feet turned to ice, and my groom had no clue.
"Is it the weather?" he asked, with a puzzled peep,
"No, dear," I sighed, "it's just cold feet."

So here's to the feet, both chilly and scared,
Who keeps life interesting, though nothing's prepared.
Whether it's socks or courage that we need to seek,
Let's warm up those toes and make the leap!
