New contacts ideas for disabled people

aquaDime3032 June 18th

Hey 👋 everyone

My name is Aqua. I take care of my husband who has PD and can’t use an iPad or computer. I am looking for some group that he could participate (video or so) and have a time for himself. I am often exhausted and although I try hard to engage with him in conversations, read books and so on I think that would be good for him to be able to have other friends. If you know of any group, please let me know. Thanks 😊.

Hey Aqua. It sounds like you're doing an amazing job taking care of your husband. Finding a supportive group for him to join could be a great idea for both of you. Many organizations offer virtual support groups for people with Parkinson's Disease (PD). Check out the Parkinson’s Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. They often have resources and support group listings. There are quite a few f.acebook groups dedicated to people with PD. These can be a good way for him to connect with others in similar situations and might also have recommendations for video groups.

Thank you Mango, I will look into it. I really hope I can find a group for him. I feel that it can be very lonely for him and he was a very communicative person. Quiet and calm but he likes to be with people a lot.
