Life is hard and it's important that we're kind to ourselves. In the hustle and bustle of day-to-day challenges our achievements and gratitude can become easily clouded. This month we are going to try that little bit harder to acknowledge and celebrate everything that we are grateful for. How do I participate? 1. Every day for the month of August revisit this thread and list one new thing that you are grateful for. It can be something small like developing the strength to achieve a goal, or it could be something bigger and more meaningful. The possibilities are endless! 2. If you'd like to get reminded to post in the thread, click the subscribe bookmark in the bottom left hand corner. This will notify you each time someone replies to the thread, providing you with a natural reminder to post your daily gratitude.  3. Share the love. Share your support of others if you can by upvoting or replying to their posts. It can take a lot to share your gratitude so creating a safe space here is crucial for everyone's comfort.   4. There is no pressure to commit to it every day, but it'll be great and no doubt very rewarding if you could!  So, what are you grateful for today?

During this busy season, it’s essential to prioritize self-care and focus on our well-being, as it lays the foundation for handling both the joys and challenges of the holidays. Christmas doesn’t have to be about luxury or expensive gifts. Simple pleasures, like visiting holiday festivals or enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate, can be just as meaningful. After all, it’s the little moments that truly count. Self-care isn’t about perfection, it’s about making space for the little things that bring you joy. Take a moment to read through the self-care image and do something wonderful for yourself.  Don't forget to take care of yourself, because you deserve it!

Menu instead of routines!

...See more Menu vs a routine I saw this video where a lovely lady described how she decided to go for so called menus instead of routines! As in, for example in the morning, she has a to-do list activities but instead of having to follow them and it being a routine, she checks in with herself, how she is feeling and then decides on what she will do. She may just feel like journalling or like doing everything she got on the menu!  Benefits 1. It allows you to start off the day on a more positive note, as opposed to being upset with yourself for not following the routine, you can be happy that you managed to do one productive thing for yourself! 2. Synergy. It allows you to connect to yourself more by checking in, trying to take in how you are feeling and then deciding on what you think would be good for you in the moment! 3. It might actually motivate you to get more done and do the tasks you would not feel like doing when you knew you 'had to'. And so many more!  If routines work for you, amazing! I think though this is an interesting and fun concept that could help with getting yourself out of a rut or just be suited for someone that likes a bit more freedom of choice when it comes to their days.
