I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

I’ve been having a really hard time making goals or sticking to a routine lately.  Maybe this week I can do better.  My daughter is becoming closer with her friend at taekwondo and I realized that I have become pretty attached to him too.  Thankfully he’s ok with it…He seems to understand mental illness and I told him that night that my daughter almost attempted suicide that I have BPD.  I probably shouldn’t have but I was emotional and he said it wasn’t my fault.  But I felt like it was my fault because of that.  But he’s been very sweet and I’m talking to his mom now too.

Between buying Christmas gifts and being sick/having sick kids, I have been so distracted.  I love buying/giving gifts.  I probably spent too much but we will have a fun Christmas.

I tested for my low red belt yesterday.  I’m so happy that’s over for a few more months.  We had to do all 7 of our forms this time.  I already know the 8th form but need to perfect it.

Random update.  I couldn’t sleep well so my brain is scattered.

Hope everyone is doing well!

It sounds like you were in a vulernable moment and he had a listening ear. Did your daughter know you shared that informaion with him and is everything ok now?

Sounds like you got your hands full with all the Christmas gifts and then having a sick household cannot make it very easy. But at least you enjoy your Christmas shopping so that can be a lot of fun. 😀. Worry about the bills later. eeeek!😕😓😅.

congrats on yout red belt.... you tested.... you passed, yea?

I hope you get some sleep tonight. With all these holidays and everything else going on it's easy to have a scattered brain this time of year. For me, i can't wait for a fresh start next year.😏

good nite, sleep tight! 😴

@IsayUncle Yeah, we have been talking for a while and he is very understanding and caring.  Definitely not like any other nineteen year old I’ve met.  My daughter knows we talk and doesn’t mind at all.  They are getting pretty close.  He has talked about the future with her.  And he says really sweet things like he wants to take care of all of us.  He’s the same boy that came with us on that hike a few months ago.  We’ve been friends with him basically since we started TKD.  But for me it’s kind of complicated and scary because I do feel attached to him and I really want he and my daughter to stay together.  They really like each other and he told me he wants to get a promise ring.

New Years is nice for a fresh start.  I really like Christmas too though and making everyone happy 😊

I need to view the professor's remarks for the second assignment and work on assignment number 3. And not let my work environment get to me.

Apparently this method of business is par for the course for this company. They care nothing about tact or ethics aside from what they have to comply with to satisfy regulators which is why many people don't stay with this company for long. And the company doesn't really care because they can always find replacements.

@IsayUncle it's a General Studies degree in IT. I wanted Data Management or Cyber security but those weren't self-paced.

@Enthenia

OK, that's great. thanks. Perhaps you can broaden your expertise later. 👍

Sooo, next question. What is your projected time-line to achieve your current degree? 🙂

@IsayUncle well I figured I could use an overview of everything.

I'm about 75% finished so maybe in a year and a half? My courses need to be updated still. Not sure what comes after the project. I don't think it's weighted to cover what I'm missing in credits (if it is, that's a lot.)

I have my year-end review tomorrow (just found out today) at work. Not looking forward to it. I could use that time to actually work and look at my grade for the assignment. Haven't done that still

Hi there everybody! I just wanted to share my goal to make and stick to my goals (kind of ironic I know), but my goal is that every morning, I will make one tiny goal that I can do every day and keep adding more and more every day until I feel like my days are as productive as I'd like them to be. In the past I have made big goals, or multiple goals at a time, and I never succeed because I get overwhelmed and discouraged. So, this time I will be adding tiny goals (and I mean TINY, like for example today's goal is to oil my cuticles every night before bed, nothing big, but when put together over weeks of other goals, it will make a difference) every day until I feel more productive with my days, and my sleep schedule is back on track.

Hi Lucy, I meant to say hi this morning but I forgot to come back to it. It's good to hear from you. I really like your idea of doing just a little thing everyday. That's a real testament to your willpower and courage.

It's kind of sad sometimes that people don't give themselves enough credit for the little bits. Sticking with that everyday is really momentous and powerful.

I'm glad to hear that's what you're going to do. Don't get discouraged don't think it's fruitless. You will get rewarded, especially after doing it for a length of time. I love your motivation. 😀
