How do you set healthy boundaries?

Boundaries are essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and sets the tone for the guidelines pertaining to how one is treated. It also helps others understand what your limits are, preventing burnout and can even enrich your relationships.
Some ways I set healthy boundaries are:
1. Never make assumptions that the person knows what you’re saying (Communicate your boundaries with the other person clearly, ensuring that your thoughts and feelings are stated in a respectful and concise manner).
2. It is important to follow through with what you said (You must ensure that you not only set but maintain your boundaries without compromising. When boundaries are compromised, it is easier to find yourself continuously overstepping your own boundaries).
3. As you stated, it is important to say ‘no’ at times and ‘yes’ to self-care. This is easier said than done and can be quite challenging.
