@mysteriousfriend1321
I try not to fuss about it, so allowing myself even 5 minutes of mindful breathing is alot helpful!Ā
Ooh and I like listening to chants, flute music, rain sounds etc while engaging in some "close my eyes and do mindful listening" hehe. I find that quite peaceful!
How about you?šĀ
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Are chill š¹even mine doesn't last for more than 12 minutesĀ
.. breathing exercises is what gives more relief during anxietyĀ
... Tibetan bell music
... some karaoke music of my favorite songsĀ
@mysteriousfriend1321
Hahaha 12 minutes is great, so long we try and can feel the peace still, it counts. š„°
Those are some very peaceful sounds, Tibetan bells music specially!š
Celebrating meditation is such a well-deserved recognition to thisĀ wonderful practice!
Thank you, my mysterious friend, for such a significant post!
Letās celebrate meditation, wooohooo!
Answering your questions, I meditate sitting on a cushion on the floor and focusing on my breath.
I have been meditating for many years, and it has become something good in itself, beyond its healing effects. I need to be in that wonderful state every day, at least for a while. My view of things has been deeply influenced by meditation.
This is my setup for meditating: a zafu, a zabuton, and some cardboard sheets I use to make an enclosure, a humble āmeditation hallā that hides the distracting clutter behind.
I share two YT videos I have found very useful (particularly the first one) to gradually learn to take the full lotus posture, which in my experience is the most stable for meditation:
Developing Lotus Flexibility:Ā https://youtu.be/Z8LOhZmuVaE
How to take theĀ Lotus Posture:Ā Ā https://youtu.be/9ZlunRtePb8
Thank you againĀ Mysterious Friend for celebrating the wonder of Meditation!

"Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your meditation practice with us! ā¤It's wonderful to hear how meditation has become such a meaningful part of your daily routine. Your setup with the zafu and zabuton sounds like the perfect environment for a focused and peaceful practice. I love how youāve created your own 'meditation hall' with the cardboard sheets to keep distractions at bayāsuch a creative and practical approach!
The lotus posture is indeed one of the most stable and grounding positions for meditation. Iām excited to check out the videos you shared on developing flexibility and taking the posture. They will be really helpful as I continue to explore different meditation techniques. Thanks again for your valuable insights!"
And honestly I conclude one important thing in ur replyĀ ... is that .. meditation gives much clarity of what we're thinking and processingĀ .. the more calm we get ..Ā the more thoughtful we become in day to day life and it entirely changes the way we approach the incidents in life in a easy manner ( if we're consistent in practicing it )Ā
And obviously it's a wonderful experience to have atleast once a day š
Thank you for your thoughtful, reassuring, encouraging and wise reply!
We agree on everything 100%
We agree on things that are very important to us
I look forward to crossing paths again with you somewhere in Cups!

@HealingTalk
The vedios which you have shared are amazing!Ā
I am glad that you have found them good!
AttainingĀ the Lotus posture,Ā and keeping it for half an hour or more, is quite a challenge if you are not super-flexible (I am not)
These exercises were for me the key that opened the door
I hope many people could benefit from them

We have yoga classes thrice a week for stress relief from academicsĀ Ā ... our yoga mentor make us often do these kind of posturesĀ .. and specifically he focus mainly on pranayama ( regulation of breath and its related exercises)
Three times a week is a lot! Serious practice! How wonderful!
Pranayama is very close to the kind of meditation I do.
@mysteriousfriend1321
@HealingTalk
Vvery nice! I remember once my physiology mam told that it improves memory power .( pranayama)Ā Ā ... she said while we're trying to bunk the yoga classes ( as its thrice a week)
Yoga is not something which our college choosedĀ ... as per govt rule especially to medical collegesĀ .. yoga classes are mandatory and they do take attendance for that ..Ā
I guess pranayama promotes a focused and calm mind, on top of reducing stress, etc. If your mind is a noisy madhouse you can't recall things from your memory. Being able toĀ quietĀ your mind andĀ focus must help you find the informationĀ you want to retrieve.
What a wise policy! Yoga must certainly be a great support for performing well and having a more balanced life during the most stressful period of one's life. They care about the physical and mental health of students and help them perform at their best.Ā
