Thread: Meditation & OBE?
Meditation is a practice that Wochen the goal of achieving a state of mental clarity, emotional calm, and physical relaxation. Aside from its origins in both spiritual and religious traditions, it is used as a tool for personal growth, stress relief, and enhancing mental well-being.
About three years ago, I had tried meditation then stopped, until I got back to it again since October. My experience with both mindfulness meditation and guided meditation(guided by an instructor through an audio record) was going alright, there was no progress in the beginning, but I became better at it as I developed it as a daily habit years ago. I stopped after I noticed that it triggers strange occurances, which were similar to an out-of-body experience.(OBE) An out-of-body experience is when it seems you are observing yourself from the outside. While I do have such a sense of disconnection sometimes without doing meditation, I just didn't want to trigger more of it since it made me unfocused.
...As I am getting back to practising it now, it is still normal so far.
Questions for discussion: Did anyone else have an OBE or something similar while meditating? If so, how was it for you? Do you perhaps have an explanation for it?
