Coming out can be a hard decision to make, especially when we fear the reaction of those we are telling. One thing I often find important when coming out is making sure that I can do so safely, While I never hope the worst possible outcome happens for anyone, it's one time I find being prepared for that worst possible outcome is sadly necessary sometimes.
Sometimes testing the waters before coming out, talking about LGBTQ+ characters or stories that come up in the news involving LGBTQ+ topics can help give us an idea of how our own coming out might go too.
Overall, I hope that you are able to find a safe way to share who you are and that your outcome is simply acceptance and understanding.
