How do I know if I'm experiencing sexual/romantic attraction?
I've been doing a bit of research on the terms and yet I'm still confused. Like, for some reason my head cannot wrap around the ideas at all.
How do you know if you're experiencing sexual/romantic attraction? And if so, if you could provide me examples (You do not have to!) Because I'm so confused.
@ambitiousPine9287 it's hard to give a universal definition that works for everyone since we're all so different. Generally, sexual attraction involves feeling something that draws you to the other person in terms of physical contact and more specifically intimate contact involving sexual parts. Romantic attraction involves feeling very drawn by someone in an emotional way, there's attachment and usually also a desire for commitment and a shared future. It can be very similar to friendship so it can be hard to tell the difference: in my opinion, terms like friendship, love or attraction are things that everyone should be free to define for themselves, there should be no pre-determined definitions!
