Help settling back in please

Hi there! I wonder if you could help me? I’m a listener who’s been away for a while (over a year), and everything on the app has changed! I’m lost! And Noni is really crazy these days! Can you tell me how to change the app into português? Also, is there some way of getting involved with translation jobs, and listening to more Brazilians? Also, l can’t see where to choose my specialties. I want to specialize in post-partum depression, pregnancy loss and grieving, new parenting, abortion and related issues around that area. Thanks in advance!

@royalWaves1290 Yes, there's a new app since January.

The new app uses the language of your device. So if your device is set to Portuguese, then the app is automatically Portuguese. However, the translation might not be complete, so you might still see some English. Content contributed by members and listeners is not translated.

To get involved with translation jobs, look out for announcements in this part of the forum. Portuguese is almost complete, so there might not be any new jobs.

Listening to more Brazilians is difficult. A few Brazilians will find you by searching, but not many members do that.

To choose topics, edit your profile on the website. I'm not sure that the app supports this yet. Again, not many members search for topics, and this makes it difficult to specialize.

oh, thanks. Well, most of the app is appearing in English for me. Hardly anything in Portuguese, so I guess they've just allocated the jobs and are waiting for the translatiors to hand in the work or for the programmers to upload the translations. I've managed to get logged in as a listener here on my browser now, so am using from here. Still haven't figured out how to update specialist areas in my profile, but from what you say it won't make much difference anyway so I guess I'll just get on with listening. I would like to change it though, as it's misleading.

@royalWaves1290 Oops, I'm sorry, I wrote "edit your profile on the website" but I should have written "edit your settings on the website". Click on your profile picture at the top right of any page and choose My Settings from the menu. That link also works, if you're logged in to a listener account.

In the latest version of the app on Android, set to Portuguese, I'm seeing a lot of English that has been translated but the app developers haven't displayed the translation. For example, "My Progress Path" has been translated as "Minha Trilha de Crescimento" but it's not displayed.

In the forum there are mixed expressions like "Última atvidade 14 minutes ago". Again, a translation, "há 14 minutos", is available but the developers haven't displayed it.

Some other text like the names of communities is possibly never going to be translated because it's regarded as content, not part of the app itself.
