Go to Khan Academy webpage and learn the topic you like : https://www.khanacademy.org
Gutenberg Project has free classic books that are out of copyright. https://www.gutenberg.org ( a small tip, other english speaking countries have less restrective copy right laws, so look on the australian or UK pages too)
If you are in SF / Fantasy it may be worth your time to look over the Free Library of http://www.baen.com/catalog/category/view/s/free-library/id/2012 .
@lucidpanic I consider myself an introvert and I have felt very lonely. I tried drawing, online courses of all topics, going to khan academy, study more at college, playing games online, learning guitar, learning how to cook and reading books that were recommended to me. The thing that worked best for me to not feel lonely and to give my time was to get a puppy and train him from scratch. I don't feel lonely anymore and I feel very proud of how my training is being sucessful. He brings me a lot of joy to my days! This worked for me! I hope you find the best solution for you :) Good luck ;)
If by chance you have an apple device (Like iPhone, iPad, iPod) there is an awesome app called ITunes U it has courses from middle school up to college level courses. However if you have an android there is Khan Academy, or you can go to the website www.future learn.com.
Of course other then that I love reading, the Kindle app is great comes with free books. Drawing is always a good way to pass time, as is coloring. There is always something to do.
Hi @mysticmagic there tons of volunteer opportunities that keep people active and generate an interest you can do at home online. You can do a Google search to find them. Not to mention you can even become a Listener here if that sparks your interest.
Good luck and best wishes!

I am always watching tv shows or playing video games when feeling down. Or try to write something or watch youtube videos to feel more inspired. I never am able to just sit down and relax.

As an introvert and only child I've spent my whole life finding ways to entertain myself. I'm very drawn to the arts of any form, so I spend a lot of my time drawing, listening to music and writting. I'm not too sure what your interests are so it's sort of hard to give you relevant ideas. Getting invested into a tv show can give you something to look forward to and give you emotional experiences that you may not be getting otherwise. I also spend a lot of time hanging up random things I've printed out onto my walls. Trust me, decorating can keep you occupied for hours once you get going. I also spend a lot of time online, which I suppose isn't really being alone. I watch a lot of youtubers, scroll through tumblr, discover new music, or go on websites like this. I find being alone for long periods of time can sometimes have a bit of a negative effect. It really depends on how you are. Since I was raised very lonely I tend to think and think and think. The good thing is it makes you more insightful and seem mature to others, but on the other hand you miss out on a lot and those thoughts can sometimes become very negative. But I still prefer to live as an introvert regardless. Also I personally spend a lot of time learning random phrases in Japanese, haha. Getting into a good book series is always great, and time consuming. There are plenty more things I'm sure you can do, but the great thing about hanging out with yourself is that you really can't go wrong.
You could try finding a free course to study. FutureLearn have lots on lots of interesting subjects. Check it out: https://www.futurelearn.com

(Sorry @lucidpanic , I tagged you wrongly before!)
I'm a quite shy girl and journaling has helped me a lot to express my emotions and it has made me feel more creative and optimistic. So I'm thinking about creating a worldwide journaling club. I love journaling, as I think it's an incredible way to become more artistic and creative.
If you like the idea, here's the post where I talk about it:

@itsmarta could you post some pictures of it?
I'm a 24 years old introvert, I feel lonely sometimes because i only have a few friends (actually 3) one lives in my city and the other lives on another country and the last one is from another town... Soo.. they are far away from me.
Just one friend really understand my personality, the other are so extrovert and sometimes fight about it..
Well, in the past year I discovered my ultimate hobbie (apart of writing, watch tv series and movies) and you can do completely by yourself. Gardening!!
I've been planting seed and guys... Really that hobbie relax me, now a year later I have some little trees (lemon, pomegranate, apples, pears, a little avocado tree, etc).
I really enjoy taking care of my plants, and that hobbie makes me appreciate the nature and admire their beauty, maybe this gonna sound weird but I even get connected with myself (well.. almost haha) is a long way but I really really like how i am feeling about it.
Sorry if I didn't express in a good form, english isn't my first language.
A big hug for everyone!!
@EstrellaFugaz That's beautiful :)
@mysticmagic Im sorry that you lost your friends recently ;( I personally would recommend DIY. Theyre dopeeee and they bring out the creativity in a person. I personally love Art <3 and whenever Im depressed I come up with awesome conceptual ideas (i dont like being around humans too btw :p). And remember, not all people are bad. This is the right place for you to be in, people are much more supportive and nice here :)
