Self-Help Books, Music and Writing
I am a student at heart. I absolutely love to learn and want to better myself and learn how to better deal with mental illness. I'm a huge fan of psychology and the human mind, how the body works etc. It's fascinating.
Music heals me and keeps me sane.
I've been writing in journals since I was about 9 years old. It has helped me to track my life and also figure out my thoughts and feelings. I've actually even had jobs that paid me to write, both online and in person.
Anyone else like these things?
I like reading about psychology as well, for example, reading about 'metacognition' has helped me to develop my learning skills. Also, learning about thinking errors has helped me.
A counselor once told me I should play music, as apparently it can help with emotional distress, and so i try to sing, play guitar and dance every once in a while.
I should journal more, too, but I find it very confronting.
