Model Speed Boat. (1994 or 1995) Pictures taken in 2011.
I know longer have this speed boat. I reluctantly threw it away. Dad and I built it, and we had trouble keeping it painted. We ran it for a few years, and I wanted to give it away, but the only person that I thought would be interested in it, decided they were not.

@tryingtosurvive2024 wow! You actually built that😍 you and your dad are amazing, you are so clever ❤❤ yeah I get that you can't keep everything, so always take photos! My art I throw away after a little while, can't keep everything🙂
@Tinywhisper11 It comes in a box full of wood, and it is all flat. You build the ribs, and cut and mold the outside wood around the curves. After that you got to install the hardware, that requires gluing and soldering. After that you need to paint the boat. My Dad came up with the idea of staining the Wood, and then painting it with clear coat. The kind we had to use is called clear dope. We had to us it because it needed to be fuel proof, and water proof. After about a year, the dope started letting go, and we had to sand some of it off, and repaint it. That took some of the stain off the bottom of the boat. I think the best paint to use on it is epoxy paint. Back then we didn't have the internet, and the hobby shop didn't sell clear epoxy paint. When your boat has a glow engine in it, you can't just use any oh paint. Cause the nitro fuel will dissolve any regular paint. 😊
@tryingtosurvive2024 oh epoxy paint is good to use?? I want to make a fairy garden for outside, will the epoxy paint act like a varnish?
@Tinywhisper11 I don't know but there are articles about the pros and cons of epoxy paint.

What is Epoxy Paint and Why Should You Use It?
@tryingtosurvive2024 thankyou ❤ are those safe links?
@Tinywhisper11 Yes, they are.
@tryingtosurvive2024 thankyou ❤
@Tinywhisper11
Or just use google with the same titles, and see what comes up for you.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I looked into it ❤ but I think strong varnish will be best for my project
@Tinywhisper11 I used epoxy paint only one time. The kind I had, you had to mix two cans together in a jar. Then what was in the jar only lasted for limited amount of time. The only reason why they wanted you to use it on the boat is because it is both water and fuel proof.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I might use it for the fairy pond
@Tinywhisper11 Whatever you do, make a wise choice.
@tryingtosurvive2024 😂😂😂😂😂😂
