Pokemon Go Safety Tips
Please please please don't go anywhere you wouldnt feel safe otherwise. I don't want to sound like an overprotective mom here but, dark alleys usually aren't a good thing.
Also, make sure not to go anywhere where you would be a disturbance, such as a police station, or a hospital.
Respect others.
People who don't immediately know "They're playing pokemon go" can get the wrong idea about you. It's not generally a good idea to loiter on someone's proprerty or outside of a public building. Take time to ask yourself "am I in the way of other people?" And then continue your pokemon journey.
And use common sense while playing this game. And as it says on the front of the loading screen (which I'm sure everyone has seen enough of) "Stay aware of your surroundings". Make sure to look both ways before crossing the street, that Pikachu isn't going anywhere.

Thank you for your very helpful and safety-concerning thread. I'm sure many Pokemon Go gamers (such as myself) will appreciate the thought and will take on your advice and hopefully stay safer whilst playing.
I would just like to add that I have seen this game bring many of the community and humanity together. I've seen complete strangers start chatting to each other who were both playing the game. Now, whilst that can be a wonderful and warm-hearting thing, seeing people come together and help each other, don't chat to anyone you don't know if you are not accompanied by an adult and/or if you don't feel comfortable around the person.
