Discussion - Single Player Games vs Co-op Games (Not MMO etc)

Juzzy January 19th, 2018

Hey peeps

So a discussion or atleast something to think about during your day.

If i was to ask which did you prefer? Hunting the forests alone as some brave OP hunter person in some single player game, or having a buddy there doing the same?

i know in a way this is simply two different questions and if your anything like me you'll go through periods of wanting to do nothing else but tag along with a mate in a game, and then a few days later turning your steam offline so no one bothers you as you conquer the world in Total War alone.

For me i guess that example above is my own opinion when it comes to single player vs Co-op in games, what are your opinions and thoughts? are you someone who cannot stand having to share your game world with someone else? or are you the opposite and NEED people there with you? and if so whats your opinion on the other?.

@Juzzy I can relate. I like multiplayer games but it gets frustrating sometimes when people start to glitch and cheat or sabotage your game. So I start to enjoy my single player games even more.

I like single players I am at my happiest when a game takes me out of my own reality I.e witcher 3 what a game that is. I also enjoy games like last of us, uncharted, crash and ratchet and clank

@kindSoul10 I prefer consoles for the ease of use plus consoles have uncharted and persona and most importantly final fantasy

@Juzzy

Overal I like multiplayer because me and my boyfriend play alot. However when I'm genuinly stressed I play alone. That way I just put my bad energies into the game and my boyfriend isn't at the risk to handle that negative vibe.

I guess is a matter of mood and how the day went.

I love multiplayer games, but in recent years I've really stuck to co-op style games. My favorite is small teams, especially in specialized equipment, such as a tank, a ship etc. Something about needing everyone to come together, be good at their jobs and communicate clearly just gets me going.

I avoid most PvP games now because the communities and player bases are all so toxic. There are far too many trolls and immature individuals who un-wind and take their stress out on others through gaming, and I just aint into that. I don't mind PvP if it's team based, but I find a lot of the times it's too fast paced, and I can only play for an hour or so.
