Bread and Chicken Pozole
Hi everyone. I figured I'd introduce myself here since I am heavily interested in looking up all kinds of different foods.
Honestly had this account sitting around for a little bit now and thought I'd try and see if I can get more usage out of it, especially now as I am going through a rough patch.
Pretty much the only things that have been keeping me afloat as far as my mental health goes is cooking and baking bread. I love trying to recreate the Mexican recipes from my home near the Southern border of the US and I actually haven't bought store bread since July or so, since I have found so much success from doing so.
That first picture of the round dutch oven loaf was actually my second attempt at making bread, if you could believe that. I did try a simple recipe off of YouTube before and though the flavor was great, I didn't really get a whole lot of mileage out of that. So to see something that delightful in color was honestly what inspired me to keep on doing more. As I have said, I haven't bought bread from the grocery store in months.
As well, for those who don't know, Pozole is a kind of soup made with a combination of red pepper sauce and broth, depending on the area it comes from. I chose to keep things simple and make a chicken pozole for the time being as one thing I would like to do is learn how to make Menudo, since I have a pressure cooker to facilitate the ease of that.
What do you all think? If you'd like me to explain how these are made, I'd be more than happy to talk about it! Thank you for your time.
