Some Research-Backed Tips to Ending Insomnia
1) No blue light exposure for 30 minutes before sleep (no computer, no TV).
2) Sleep at same time each day.
3) No napping.
4) If in bed and thinking too much, get out of bed after 15-20 minutes, finish the thinking, then go back to bed.
5) Don't exercise several hours before bed, but do try to exercise before then.
@NovelSolutions wonderful advice to people who really love a good restful sleep. Maybe , you can include usage of multimedia in your list of dos and don'ts in preventing insomia. Like your No 5 suggestion pertaining to exercising, multimedias like HP and computers ,keep our minds engaged and active even after we switch them off. Our eyes and memory still retains the images and colours we saw earlier. It's pretty difficult to unwind and sleep restfully. So it might be advisable to stop all multimedia usage an hour before going to bed.
