How to be more mentally/emotionally supportive

When I ask this question

i am referring to the deeper aspect of it.

For example if someone says

”life is terrible and I hate every aspect of it”

me

( can you explain to me why or in what sense does life suck)


I know that life is not or hasn’t been the best. It can be overwhelming at any moment if you allow it to be.

when ever I start getting beyond stressed

i pause myself

take a deep breath and think mentally on why I feeling this way and what I can do to change that


now me explaining to someone else it goes completely south

they really don’t want to listen to what I have to say but listen to someone else that says the exact same thing that I am going to tell them
