I wonder if this type of slow cooker can be adjusted using a Smartphone? Which is the temperature and cooking time are easy to turn on or off in a single click outside. Is it?

@DonyFork I have 2. One that is totally manual, another one that is programable but is just timer based.

Searching shows that there are smart slow cookers too. They are generally more expensive.

It all depends on how you're going to use it and what you're looking to spend. I did fine with my manual slow cooker for a long time. I wasn't using it while at work though, I would typically only leave home for a few hours while using it. These ones tend to last longer as the others as there's less to malfunction.

A programmable one is nice if you're going to be gone and want it to automatically change to a warm setting (or off depending on what you're cooking). More important too if you find you're picky about food being overcooked.

The only major advantage I can think of for a smart slowcooker that connects to wifi is if you're in an area that experiences power outages often. This way you could reset the program even when not home. Others who actually use one might see more benefits I can't think of though.
