Teen Mix and Match Discussion Team is here !

Following this announcement, we are ready to launch the Mix & Match discussion team with discussions being lead in the support session room. This will include the following topics at this time, each of which will have 5 discussions that can be lead. :

We will also be adding the following topics ASAP:

🦄 Mindfulness

The following teams will continue following the current support team format with recruiting session leaders to lead weekly sessions at the agreed time and day in their topic room. e.g Anxiety sessions will be lead in anxiety room.

How the discussions work under the mix and match team?

1. All support sessions/discussions will be lead in the support session room, all mods will automatically be added so they have moderation powers in the support session room.

2. Any chatroom moderator or room supporter is able to lead any discussion that is listed on the sign up sheet, you do not have to only lead sessions for the teams you chose.

3. * Attention breaking news* For mix and match sessions only Room supporters will now be able to lead sessions alone however they need to let the community mod on duty know that the session is happening/ and if they have any difficulties fill in the emergency mod form for the com mod to help

4. Each last Sunday of the month a tab will be made for you to sign up to discussions for the following month. You can sign up for at most 3 discussions a week choosing any topic. However there is no requirement for how many discussions you have to lead.

6. Enjoy leading your session on the day and time you signed up, please let @fluffyunicorns84 know if you are not able to lead a session so it can be taken off tockify.

What about the rooms & if I do not want to lead discussions?

1. No rooms are being deleted and will still be available in their current format whether that be 24/7 or pop up. Room supporters and Chatroommoderators will continue to be trained and onboarded as usual

2. If you are a chatroom moderator for one of the topic rooms, it is encouraged that you still spend time in your rooms. If it is a pop up room, open it and lead open chat sessions, get to know each other sessions or fun and games.

3. If you are a room supporter for one of the topic rooms, you will still need to find chatroom moderator to moderate the room while it is open unless it is a 24/7 room

4. If you are a support team leader and you have opted for your team to be part of the mix and match team you will still need to lead your 3 sessions a month in your room these will be community building sessions rather than discussions. e.g getting to know each other, open chats and triva/games

As the famous 7cups quote goes nothing is set in stone and we will learn and adjust as we learn" . At this stage we are not seeing this as permanent and hope that in the future we will have enough leadership to go back to the previous subcommunity setup. Although there is no plans on how this will be achieved at this stage.
