Group support chats goals

optimisticTree28 December 17th, 2014

I know there was already a thread posted asking about the purpose of these chats and what methods should be used. I went to go look through this post because I am rather new here and I was sad to see that the question was not answered. I would love to get tips on how to go about the group chats and things to keep in mind. I have heard a lot of different things and kind of just want to clarify.

Thank you in advance! Hope you all have a wonderful day

HIoptimisticTree28! I have moved your thread here as you can find more suggestions related to various topics here.

You can look for some helpful tips here. There are few suggestions regarding how to run the DR room smoothlyhere. Along with that there are few chat suggestions, How to handle suicidal situations. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

If you also meet the requirements listed in this thread, you can apply to be a group moderator. Or, just look over the group moderator manual linked in the application form.

I actually have a question about this, in the "Become A Group Support Mod" thread, it says we are expected to get at least 10 Group Support Chats per month in order to maintain Group Support Moderator status, but in a recent email sent by @Heather , it says the minimum is 25 Group Support Chats. Has this changed?

@Tylerrr the target has not changed. I made an error in the email. It is still 10 chats (or 250 messages) per month. Sorry for the confusion there.
