To my grandpa
Hello there beautiful people, I'm writing a letter to my grandpa as you guessed, I just wanted to name him and remember him officially, so I just put a TW just in case. I believe I have moved on, but that won't refrain me from remembering him. So it's up to you if you want to read it or not. But feel free to do so.
Trigger warning//
Writing a letter to sir Asher:
First of all I apologize for changing your name, you even wasn't English but I don't want to revive your identity. And secondly, English wasn't your first language but you were good at it, do I hope you resive and understand this. I hope you are doing well, I'm seeing you up in heaven. My mum missed you a lot, but I think you already know. Thanks for being an awesome human, thanks for fighting for women's rights in about 40 years ago or earlier. Thanks for supporting my mum, thanks for being an awesome dad for my mum and taught her to be a awesome parent by your kindness. Thanks for being, you. Today I learned more about you, how open minded you were, for a sec I was about to say you, are. Although I see you in pictures but your memories are fading, it's been about 12 years, I'm 17 now. I wish you were here for me, but I hope you have less responsibilities now, maybe one day I get older than you, I prey that I remember you until the day I die. I'm trying to take a good care of your daughter, I'm trying to move from here and take her and my family with me. Today I learned that it was one of your dreams, seeing your children move from here, but you didn't have the chance to see it. I'm glad that I have your eye color, your creativity, your kindness, your passion for poetry, writing and reading, and drawing. You had lot more talents, but at the moment I'm thinking of those. For now, thanks for listening. Maybe I write to you again in future. God bless your soul,
With love, from rain, the only daughter of your oldest children.

Rain, you are a beautiful person, and so was your Grandpa. Hope he's smiling down at you and your mum from wherever he's resting.💛Â
It's a really cool way to keep him alive in your memories, and to be able to talk to him, share how you feel with him and about him via these letters.💛
Sending you all the love and strength.💛
@BlackBlueWhite hi👋 I was just checking out this forum and came across your heartwarming letter towards your grandpa. From your letter, I gather that he was an amazing human. I hope that he rests in peace💜
I don't know if it's okay for me to share this but your letter reminded me of my own grandpa too. He passed away 4 years ago after suffering a lot for a really long time. My mom is his oldest child and coincidetally, i'm her only daughter. He was a librarian. He loved to read and i wont claim that he was extraordinary at this but whenever he experienced something or felt worried, he would write poems and i write poems too sometimes though they arent good. He lost many of his loved ones and suffered a lot but he was never unkind to anyone intentionally. He always tried his best to help others and lived his own life in a simple way. And he had the most beautiful smile, whenever i saw him smile, it used to make me happy inspite of whatever i was going through. And he used to cry out of happiness whenever he heard about any of our success. He supported my mom a lot in her studies, more than he supported my uncles even though that wasnt very common back then. He had a habit of bringing a lot snacks for me & my cousin whenever we visited. Once when i was young, i asked him to play badminton with me and he did, even though he hsd serious back pain, just to see me happy. And he was a great husband to my grandma, i've never seen the two of them quarrel. If she ever got angry at him for something, he would try his best to make her smile, he would even tell jokes. Before he became seriously ill, sometimes, he would take all of our hands together and make us all swear that we'll all live as happy family and look after each other and never quarrel. I hope we always keep that promise and may he be granted a place in heaven.Â
Sorry for talking so much on your post. I hope that we all get to live a happy and great life so that our loved ones can watch us from afar and feel pride and relieved😊💗
